Our Warehouse facilities include racking, counterbalance and reach truck operations, loading of UK and International trailers and containers with skilled operators ensuring economic, rapid and safe handling of all types of cargo.

It is an important part of business warehousing to be a customers eyes and ears.

Seasonal warehouse or storage products are not a problem. The company has additional adjacent warehouse space for those peaks and overflow situations.

 

Wood packaging

Your attention is drawn to the increasing number of countries worldwide who have, or are in the process of, adopting measures to prevent the spread of pests found in softwood timber. For instance, the Pine Nematode is responsible for destroying complete forests in some European countries. This is carried in timber used for packing, dunnage and pallets and to prevent this and many other pests from spreading, only ISPM15 marked heat treated softwood is acceptable for entry into the countries listed below. Lightwood Plc is a member of the UK Wood Marking Packaging Programme and authorised to use the FC mark indicating Heat Treated wood. Our registration number is FC0598. Consignments not bearing the mark are likely to be quarantined and fumigated at the sender’s expense or even destroyed. Lightwood can cater for all your packing needs, including machinery collection and crating, wrapping and packing personal effects, furniture, pictures and antiques, together with shipment worldwide.
